Country music icon George Strait has been announced as the recipient of the 2024 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. The award, one of the most prestigious honors in country music, celebrates Strait’s monumental contributions to the genre over his four-decade career. Known affectionately as the "King of Country," Strait has cemented his legacy through consistent chart-topping hits, record-breaking performances, and a timeless dedication to authentic country music.
Strait's career is marked by unparalleled achievements, including 60 number-one singles, 33 platinum or multi-platinum albums, and over 70 million records sold. Earlier this year, he broke the record for the largest ticketed concert in U.S. history, drawing more than 110,000 fans to Kyle Field in Texas.
